Smartphone & Pocket PC Best Software Awards 2008: Here’s my list . . .

Here's the final list of software I'll be judging in this year's software awards.  With six categories consisting of 37 applications, it's a big list but I'm trying to get an early start.  It's a smaller list than last year, and I'm looking at some of the same software, but I hope to perform a fairly comprehensive and comparative review of the software, which I will share will you.

Note:  This list was updated on 7/30/2008 as follows:  Pocket Phojo was removed from the Image Management category and Sunnysoft World Off-Line was added to the News Readers category.

Since you started writing a review of one of the applications on your list are you planning on repeating that on each of the other products that you have to review?

By the way the Print Boy review was very good although I doubt I'd ever want to spend that kind of money to print something that I can sync to my PC and print for free.

      Mike,

I hope to write reviews on the other printing applications and then followup with a comparative evaluation of the applications....we'll see if I can do it....but that's what I intend to do.

I like the idea of printing from a Pocket PC, but since I save all my files to an SD card, it is quite easy for me to print from my SD card (remove SD card from pocket pc, insert SD card into SD slot on computer or insert SD card into USB card reader and print from computer).  At work, I can even insert my SD card directly into a printer and print from there.

I can imagine that road warriors would probably prefer to print directly from a mobile device.
