Q&A: How do I save email attachments to a storage card?
You need to set an option in the Messaging application to store your email attachments on an installed storage card:
- Open up the Pocket PC's Messaging application.
- For Windows Mobile 2003 devices, tap Accounts > Accounts > Storage tab.
- For WM5.0 devices, tap Menu > Tools > Options > Storage tab.
- Place a checkmark in the box next to "Store attachment on storage card."
But sometimes you need to do more
For this option to work, your storage card must be named "Storage Card." But, by default, some Pocket PC's storage cards are named "CF Card" or "SD Card." The Pocket PC models that I know have an issue are the IPAQ h2200, hx2100s, hx2400, hx2700, hx4700s, and the hw65000s. In order to save email attachments to storage cards on these Pocket PCs you must first rename the SD or CF card to "Storage Card."
HP has posted a Storage Card Rename Utility on its Support & Drivers pages for the h2200, hx2100s, hx2400, hx2700, hx4700s, and the hw65000s to rename the CF or SD card to "Storage Card," but you can also use SKTools, and a number of other Pocket PC storage utilities to do this. If you are using SKTools:
Tap Start > Programs > SKTools > Storage Cards. You will see a window on the top that lists any storage cards that are installed in the Pocket PC. The bottom window shows the specifics of the storage card that is highlighted in the upper window.
Tap Tools > Settings. You will see in the top window a dialogue box that states "Select an item in the list below." Move down the page to the section entitled, "Storage names." Below that heading, you will see a list of storage cards that are installed in the Pocket PC. Tap the storage card for which you wish to change the name. The top dialogue box will show you the name of the card and under that will
be "Soft reset required!" In the dialogue box, change the name of the card. Tap the next storage card, change the name for that card (if you so desire). Then tap OK at the top right hand side of screen. Perform a soft reset and you are done!
Non-English speaking Pocket PCs
If your Pocket PC's native language is not English, you will probably need to rename the SD card or CF card to "Storage Card" in your Pocket PC's language. For example, if your Pocket PC's native language is Spanish, you will change the name of the CF or SD card to "Tarjeta de almacenamiento;" if your Pocket PC's native language is French, you will change the name of the storage card to "carte de stockage."

I have an h1945, which is in the same family of the h1910 and runs windows mobile 2003. The h1910 is quite limited in what you can do with it. It does not include Bluetooth or WIFI and the SD card slot does not accommodate SDIO cards so you will not be able to add this functionality to it. However, you can sync the Inbox from the computer (Outlook email) to your Pocket PC and you can surf the internet by using the ActiveSync passthrough connection. Another limitation of the h1910 is that it can only accommodate up to a 1 GB SD card. You've got WMP 9 on the pocket pc, so you can rip CDs, copy the music to your SD card and listen to music on the pocket pc, but you will not be able to sync music you've downloaded to thei internet (you need WMP 10 on the pocket pc to do this).
