Posting to the blog from a Pocket PC
I've been on a hunt to gather better tools to facilitate posting to my personal blog and recently started using Microsoft Live Writer - a really great application and one that will probably save me hours of work and hassle! I am a much happier camper.
I recently found a free application that allows me to post to the blog from my Pocket PC (similar to the way Live Writer works on the computer).
Diarist can post entries to weblog sites based on:
.Text
CommunityServer
MSN Spaces
DasBlog
BlogX
MetaWeblog API (generic versions only)
Diarist does not currently work with Movable Type because it does not support the category system used by Movable Type.
To run the software on the Pocket PC you'll need to install Microsoft's .Net Compact Framework 2, if the Pocket PC doesn't already have it (the installation wizard will let you know if you need to install it).
It was a piece of cake to get the software connected to the blog and here's my first Pocket PC entry!

Dear Prof Julie,
The Diarist link did not work from the "News Mail" (The system cannot find the file specified).
Thank you so much for all great tips coming from you in these mails!
Kaj.

Kaj, I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to "News Mail." Is this how you subscribe to the blog? I really don't know how to fix the link so you can get to the software from there. Does the link work okay for you from the actual article?
Thanks for your kind thoughts and for stopping by!
