A case & a bluetooth headset for the hw6925

A FlexiSkin case
I don't usually buy cases for my Pocket PCs because I don't like the way they bulk them up, but I recently bought a FlexiSkin from Boxwave for the hw6925 and like it quite a lot.   Boxwave does not make a FlexiSkin especially for the hw6925, so I got the one for the hw6500.  It fits really well, except the slot for the mini-sd card is not in the right spot, so I have to remove the cover whenever I wish to remove my SD card.  The FlexiSkin comes with a clear flip cover (so I don't need to use the one that came with the hw6925), and a belt clip.  I got the pink one with the covered keyboard.

Some Bluetooth Headsets
I've been looking at Bluetooth A2DP headsets for months, and I finally bought one last week -- a Sony's Stereo Bluetooth Headset (DR-BT10CX).

I have a Motorola Bluetooth earpiece that works okay in a quiet room, but when I am driving or walking down the street I cannot hear very well with it.  I liked the looks of the Sony headset because I wanted something that would not have a big band that fits around my head and I don't like having huge gobs of plastic handing from my ears (I have short hair and it does not make much of a fashion statement).

The Sony Headset was really easy to pair with the hw6925 and the hx2415, and the sound quality is exceptional! Other than the volume control button, the headset does not provide any real controls for listening to music, but that does not bother me.  And, even though I cannot initiate Voice Command requests through the headset, I hear Voice Command announcements just fine through them.  I tried them out with Skype and they seem to work pretty well.  Unfortunately, there is quite a lag when I tried to use them with my computer.....

The earplugs block out a lot of extraneous noise because they fit snugly in the ears, much like having earplugs in my ears when swimming - I don't think I'll be letting anyone try them on for size    The little Bluetooth receiver has a clip on the back that swivels and can be clipped to a pocket, a collar, a lapel, etc.

Google them and you'll probably find them for less than the Sony price (I did!).

The earphones you're talking about, they're for listening to music, right? Do they have a microphone, or just earphones?

Yeah, the microphone is on the little receiver box.  Works really well, just have to have the receiver clipped to my shirt and not in my pocket

I purchased a case similar to this one off of eBay but HATE it. When clipped to my belt, the whole device sags and often the clip itself comes unscrewed from the back, sending my delicate PDA to the floor! You don't have these problems with the FlexSkin, do you?

When clipped to anything, my pocket pc sags in the FlexShin too, and it doesn't seem very secure.  I don't usually clip things to my belt so it has not been a big issue to me.  The larger issue is that, now that I've been using the case for a while, about a week ago I noticed a small tear in the skin next to where the plastic screen attaches to the case.  I will be contacting the vendor about this.

After many months, searching and debating different options, I finally purchased a powered cradle for my car from ProClip, and the Pocket PC does not fit in the cradle with the case on (I was not surprised).  So now I have to remove it every time I use it in my car.  I really like the ProClip cradle, rather expensive, but a really nice, slick design!

I am never satisfied with cases long-term...one of the reasons I avoid buying them.  But now I think I'm going to search for a slip case for the pocket pc, just to protect it when it is in my purse or briefcase.   I'm thinking about the Universal Cordura Belt Holster from proporta.com.

I have the HP 6915 and used it before with the Sony headset DR-BT10CX without problems. After some time I wanted to start the HP6915 Bluetooth service and use it. I can see that the HP6915 cannot start up the bluetooth connection any more and I get the message "The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio" I did a soft reset and same problem exists, I did a total factory reset and the problem is still there, that means I cannot use any bluetooth devise anymore? Your help is appreciated.

The only thing I can recommend that might help is for you to remove your battery for about 30 seconds.  This will reset the hardware and sometimes this resolves this issue.

I have read about this error before and spent much time trying to figure out the cause and resolution of it.  Unfortunately, I have never been able to find a conclusive resolution for it.  Sometimes removing the battery does the trick, but alot of times it doesn't.  You may need to send the pocket pc out for repair.

The battery has been removed several times and for different lenght of times but the system does not reset itself. I am sending the ipaq for service to HP as it is still under guarantee (I bet they will flash the ROM and update it if they have some new software). I will update you after they return it to me if you wish for your info.
    Thanks-Regards
